DESIGN EDIT No. 5
Slow Luxury
We chose each piece in this edit for the way it balances richness with restraint. The Ferm Living Burl coffee table has a beautiful swirling grain that gives it real presence, but its clean square shape and hidden drawer keep it grounded and practical. The Moe's Getty side table pairs raw granite with a curved iron base - it has an old-world elegance without feeling fussy. On the floor, the Kave Home Marely wool rug brings warmth through its hand-woven double texture, and the Six The Residence mohair pouffe in almond is the kind of detail that elevates a room quietly, its soft velvet sitting on a simple walnut plinth that gives it just enough structure.
Lighting is where this edit really comes alive. The Tempo Vivace pendant by a-emotional light is entirely handmade in Spain from pleated stainless steel mesh - no two are exactly alike, and the way light moves through its layered form shifts the mood of a room completely. The Murano graniglia glass sconces from Vinterior bring a different kind of craft, with gold dust pressed into mouth-blown glass and set against brass frames.
The finishing details tie everything together. The Kave Home Vorma glass centrepiece is deliberately simple - a clean, clear shape that lets the more textural pieces around it breathe. And the 19th-century bronze urli from South India is the heart of the edit. Originally a cooking vessel from Kerala, it carries real history in its patina and weight. It is the kind of piece that anchors a room.
