The brief was to move away from neutral finishes in favour of a richer, more characterful material palette.

The design is anchored by Claybrook's

Mediterrano Molasses glazed wall tiles, selected for their handcrafted appearance, tonal variation and subtle reflective quality. Their warm tobacco tones create depth and texture, forming a striking backdrop that changes beautifully throughout the day as the light shifts.

These are paired with aged brass fixtures, Viola stone and a bespoke walnut vanity, finished with carefully selected hardware to introduce warmth and craftsmanship.

 

Above the toilet, two floating Viola stone shelves with a custom ogee edge profile echo the vanity top, adding a sculptural detail while providing practical storage.

The classic chequerboard marble floor quietly

balances the richness of the wall tiles, introducing contrast without competing for attention.
